We're really looking forward to Truck festival. We'll be headlining the Village Pub Rock stage on Saturday night. Be sure to check us out at 9pm.

5th June 2008

Our New York City trip is fast approaching and we're getting really excited about it. We thought to just give you an update. We'll be in town on the 12th if anyone wants to have a drink or hang out. We'll most likely just be bumming around the Lower East Side and different parts of Brooklyn. As for gigs, we ran into some misfortune with the Pianos gig on June 18th. We're in the process of sorting it out, but won't know all the details for at least a few days. Basically the night got cancelled and we did too even though we weren't part of the package. It was an error which we're hoping can be corrected. There are three possibilites. We'll either get put on the new bill and have a different stage time, get shifted to another venue, or find a replacement show in which case we don't know the date yet. But the good news is we've got an amazing bill lined up at The Annex on June 16th. Here are the details...
Cover $8
Doors 7:30 pm
7:45pm - Alana Amram and the Rough Gems
8:30pm - We The They
9:15pm - U.S. Royalty
10:00pm - Morrison Steam Fayre
Anyone in town on that day, we really hope to see you there. We know it's a Monday, but it's not a late show and you can swing it! This is one of those shows where you'll be glad you came at the start and stayed till the end. All the bands are worth checking out.

We’re headed up to Truck Studios in a couple of weeks to do some recording. We’ve got some new songs we’re just itching to get scratched into wax, though unfortunately they’ll just be put on a hard drive and most likely then iTunes or some other online store where you can buy them. Our new friend Pete Roe has been kind enough to lend us his ivory tickling talents while not on tour with Laura Marling. Pete will also be playing some of our upcoming shows, and by quite a stroke of luck, he’ll be in New York with Laura at the same time we’re there, so we’ll likely have him playing with us there too.

27th April 2008

Unfortunately we have to bow out of tomorrow's gig at the Pressure Point in Brighton due to illness. We're not happy about it, but sometimes you can't help these things. Apologies to anyone who was looking forward to seeing us. Thanks for understanding. Hopefully we'll see you soon.

24th April 2008

We’re really excited about the coming months. Our Worldwide Tour of New York is shaping up to be a grand ol’ time. We’ve got a couple of shows booked, and one secret show which will be a stripped down semi-acoustic session. We’re also going to be joining the ranks of the many UK bands to perform on Fearless TV. Others who have graced their stage in the past include Supergrass, Elbow and British Sea Power. We’ve been in a constant state of creativity these past months as well, churning out new ideas, many of which have taken shape as what we think are our best songs yet. We’re hoping to do some recording in the coming weeks, so keep an eye on our site and/or MySpace page for updates about when you can hear what we’ve been working on. We’ve got loads of great gigs to look forward to here in the UK as well. We’ll be playing a few shows with our friends Danny and the Champions of the World as they tour in support of their well reviewed debut album. Congratulations guys! We’ll also be headlining Equitruck on tour when it hits St. Albans and may be appearing in disguise at this year’s Truck Festival. Details will be given soon...

21st March 2008

For those of you who are still out there and listening, we're sorry for the lack of updated information. We're partly lazy and mostly lacking access to the internet which makes our lives very complicated and utterly boring at the same time. We're working hard on new songs, and we've got 3 nearly finished with several more on the way. We promise to give you a taste of what's new from MSF at our upcoming gigs.

Hi Friends, If you are a pianist/keyboardist or know someone who is, we have a need for someone who can tickle the ivories in a country honky-tonk, blues kind of way. Think Nicky Hopkins on The Kinks - Muswell Hillbilies or The Rolling Stones - Let It Bleed, or Billy Preston with The Beatles. Someone who can play percussion (tambourine, shaker, etc) and/or sing backing vox as well would be ideal, but the keys are most important. So please spread the word. If your colleague's friend's girlfriend's brother is a great player, let them know, let us know! We really want someone to join us on stage and in the studio to fill out our sound as it once was and could be again.

23rd September 2007

We have just finished mixing our first demos with the new lineup. We spent last weekend recording 3 new songs at Long Island Studios in Acton, a great little place, and today we returned to do the mixing. They sound amazing. Much thanks to Shaun and Jay for their skills and patience. Look out for copies at our upcoming gigs!
